Welcome to the new web site home of the Stone County Humane Society - Mountain View, AR.

Check back soon for loads of great content, as well as listings of all the animals that we currently have for adoption. Come back often and thanks for visiting!  The Board of Directors - Stone County Humane Society - Mountain View, AR

Recent changes in the operation of the SCHS highlighted the need for more foster homes and more adoptions.  We have dogs and cats of all sizes, shapes and colors who need a permanent home or a temporary foster home.  Foster homes are a great asset because animals can get individual attention and be socialized thus Hill's Science Diet Official Logo - Support Our Mission - Hill's Pet Nutrition Logomaking them more adoptable.

Science Diet provides the SCHS with nutritious food for our animals.  Check out their site at HillsPet.com

SCHS provides food and any needed medical attention for animals in foster homes. Please consider caring enough to share your home with one of our dogs--either permanently or as a foster home.  Call  870-269-2704 to adopt or foster.

The city now has an animal control program.  We support their efforts and look forward to working with them.  Many of the problems associated with animals could be eliminated if owners would spay or neuter their animals.  To have your animals spayed or neutered contact your local veterinarian or call for an appointment at 870-746-5055
