This poor boy has been at the shelter for 571 days (as of 1/23/23) and we aren’t sure why. We believe he is misunderstood. Benji has what we call F.O.M.O: Fear Of Missing Out. He yearns for attention and just wants to be included! This causes him to bark and run-a-muck when not being included. Benji calms down when being petted/cuddled, played with or walked, but we can only offer so much of that here at the shelter. He needs a home where he can have a constant human interaction. He is not the dominating type, except when first meeting other dogs. He puts on a tough guys act but stops once he see’s the other dog is friendly. Benji also knows simple commands like, sit and stay, and loves to go on walks. Benji might even make a great “road dog”; he loves to ride in cars and sits like a good boy in the front seat, even when people are getting in and out of the vehicle.  Benji is an energetic young dog and is full grown at 35 pounds. Please consider giving this sweet, misunderstood boy a loving home.
