Cinder is a 2 year old, 70 pound Shepherd Mix. He was adopted from the Paws in Prison Program in Aug of 2021, but was returned because his owner got a job that involved traveling and couldn’t take him along. He still remembers some of his commands from the Prison and is housetrained. Cinder is a big cuddle bug -he just wants to be held. He loves both inside and outside and does well with other animals, even cats.
We have learned that Cinder is protective of his owner – he may be a one person only kind of dog or just needs a home where there are not a lot of visitors. He went into foster care with a potential adopter and he did great until he went into public with his person and other people came near. He nipped at a few family members and strangers to keep them away. With his person though, he was all cuddles and kisses. He is a very loving dog, just doesn’t like too many people around.
