It is kitten season and we are starting to get litters of kittens! These babies can not officially be adopted until they are fixed, but you can come and reserve one today! They are litterbox trained and have only been indoors. They will be fixed before adoption.

Jax is a very BIG baby. He has a very gentle, loving nature. He was adopted as a puppy and returned to the shelter because the family was moving and couldn’t take him with them. He has primarily been in an outside pen most of his life. He really enjoys being inside at the shelter and near people. He is abig teddy bear, just wanting affection. Jax also LOVES to go for walks. He gets very excited and acts like a puppy. He is house trained, good with other dogs and kids too. Jax would make a great addition to any dog loving home! He is about 8 years old and weighs 115lbs.
Queenie was picked up on the side of the road with her two 2 week old kittens. She was very protective of her kittens and for a long time, we thought she was feral because she would attack if we came near. Once the kittens got old enough to eat dry food, Queenie loosened up a bit and allowed us to pet her. She is very lively and full of personality. She is a loud talker and loves affection, but she also likes to bite. It is very random when she does it, but she bites and she bites hard. For this reason, we are giving Queenie away for free to an approved home as a “Barn Cat”. She is spayed, current on shots and is a good mouser. She is a very sweet girl that just doesn’t understand that biting is not ok. Maybe you would be willing to give her a try in your barn? Queenie is about 2 years old.
Charlie is such a lovable, sweet dog. He showed up as a stray and was never claimed. He has been outside most of his life but he is crate trained and is used to sleeping in one at night. He is not house trained but seems super smart and would be easily trained – he is very eager to please. We offer free online basic obedience training through the Dog Academy to help with this. He does well with other dogs but likes to chase cats. Charlie loves human attention and loves to give you hugs and follow you around like a shadow. He is playful but not overly so. He makes great eye contact, looking for the next treat or a head scratch. Charlie is about a year old and weighs 50 pounds. This sweet little man will make your life complete!
