Pepper was adopted from us 4 years ago. His owner suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. Pepper and the other dog, that he adopted from us named Snapple, were returned to the shelter. These two are the definition of a bonded pair. They will need to be adopted together. They are both so sweet and well behaved. They walk well on leashes and don’t bark at the other dogs. They pretty much keep to themselves and love to lay in the sun. They also love human cuddles and pets. We do not think they have ever been inside but barely ever have accidents in their kennel – could be considered house-trained (as long as you let out to potty as needed). These two sweethearts will fill your life with love. Please consider taking them both home today! They are both 5 years old and about 50 lbs.

Pocket came to us from a home that just had too many cats. She had calicivirus as a kitten and as a result her right eye is cloudy. This doesn’t appear to slow her down any or bother her. We know that she is good with other cats and has been both inside and outside. Pocket is also litterbox trained and spayed. She is a petite little thing and is as sweet as can be! Miss Pocket is about 2 years old.
Lovey showed up as a stray and was well cared for until the woman developed breathing problems from the dander and could not keep her. Lovey has been both indoors and outdoors and is litterbox trained. She is a little scared right now but is very receptive to gentle human interaction. She is more on the laid back side and gets along well with other cats. She is spayed and current on shots.
Missy has a beautiful white coat with black speckles. She is full of energy and just loves life! She does well with other dogs but is too energetic for small kids (tends to knock them over). Missy craves attention and loves to run and play. She is deaf but that doesn’t bother her – she pays attention to those hand signals. She is a VERY smart girl. An active family or person to take her on adventures and practice her training is ideal. She loves to show off her talents like down and roll over. We have to do the hand signal for sit and make her sit before she will eat her food. She likes to practice what she knows!
Sasha has big, beautiful Golden-green eyes. That is the first thing you notice about her. Then you see that she is a petite little thing (considering she is about 2 years old) and she is extremely friendly. Sasha loves people and snuggles – she is a lap cat for sure! She came to us from a home with too many cats, but she received a lot of good care in the home. She is very good with other cats but is not a fan of dogs. Sasha is litter box trained and has only been inside. She will make a great pet for any home looking to spoil a deserving kitty.
Darcy is one of 5 kittens we rescued after the mama cat died. They haven’t received much care before now, so they are a little hissy, but they are thriving and doing well. She just wants to be loved, but is still figuring out how to accept human affection. She will be a little shy at first, but she is really coming around and allowing pets. Darcy does well with other cats and would probably adapt to dogs as well. She is litter box trained and spayed.
**Wallie was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. She will be crate trained, house trained, learn manners and she will learn lots of tricks as well! After a few sit downs with her, she will allow pets. She prefers to be outside but has been both inside and outside. Annie is good with other dogs and loves to run around and play. She is not leash trained yet.
