Missy has a beautiful white coat with black speckles. She is full of energy and just loves life! She does well with other dogs but is too energetic for small kids (tends to knock them over). Missy craves attention and loves to run and play. She is deaf but that doesn’t bother her – she pays attention to those hand signals. She is a VERY smart girl. An active family or person to take her on adventures and practice her training is ideal. She loves to show off her talents like down and roll over. We have to do the hand signal for sit and make her sit before she will eat her food. She likes to practice what she knows!
Missy is house trained and very eager to please. She is 6 years old and 55 lbs.
**Missy is pretty well trained already but could use a refresher on some of the hand signals, so she went back to the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. Missy is paired with trainers who will be able to work with her even though she is deaf. She will graduate in October.

Stella came to us because the family could not care for her and were keeping her in a bad situation. In spite of that, she is very friendly, playful, and is good with other dogs. She is very energetic and needs a place to run and play. She does well with cats and kids too. She is only partially house trained but is a very smart dog and would learn easily. She loves attention and to fetch a ball.
Sasha has big, beautiful Golden-green eyes. That is the first thing you notice about her. Then you see that she is a petite little thing (considering she is about 2 years old) and she is extremely friendly. Sasha loves people and snuggles – she is a lap cat for sure! She came to us from a home with too many cats, but she received a lot of good care in the home. She is very good with other cats but is not a fan of dogs. Sasha is litter box trained and has only been inside. She will make a great pet for any home looking to spoil a deserving kitty.
Darcy is one of 5 kittens we rescued after the mama cat died. They haven’t received much care before now, so they are a little hissy, but they are thriving and doing well. It is so cute when Darcy hisses at you then melts into your hand for pets. She just wants to be loved, but is still figuring out how to accept human affection. She is not aggressive in any way, just tries to act tough. Darcy does well with other cats and would probably adapt to dogs as well. She is litter box trained and spayed
**Wallie was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. She will be crate trained, house trained, learn manners and she will learn lots of tricks as well! Annie came to us with her sister, Annie. Both came from a hoarder with too many dogs and not much socialization. Annie will be timid at first but comes around quickly. After a few sit downs with her, she will allow pets. She prefers to be outside but has been both inside and outside. Annie is good with other dogs and loves to run around and play. She is not leash trained yet.

Paisley is a sweet, lovable kitten. She came to us as 1 of 5 siblings, 4 of which are black. She is no longer shy and will climb all over you, wanting attention. She loves to play with other kittens and her toys as well. Paisley is very energetic and playful. She is litter box trained and spayed.
Grace came to us from another rescue with her sister, Mocha. The rescue took in more dogs than they could care for and gave them very little attention or care. She is a little scared of other dogs and people too. Although still a little shy, she is very sweet and playful. She is partially house trained. She is about 1.5 years old and full grown at 44 lbs. Grace would like a kind, considerate home with a yard and lots of love to give. Can you provide that for her?
Mocha came to us from another rescue with her sister, Grace. The rescue took in more dogs than they could care for and gave them very little attention or care. Mocha was very scared when she got here but is really coming out of her shell now. She loves the attention we are able to provide and all of the treats. She gets excited when we go into her room and runs up to us now. Although still a little shy with strangers, she is very sweet and playful. She does very well with other dogs and would be good with kids too (older/calmer kids). She is partially house trained . She is highly energetic and stays on the slender side because of this. She is about 1.5 years old and weighs 40lbs. Mocha would like a kind, considerate home with a yard and lots of love to give.
