Louie and Louise

Louie and Louise are a bonded pair of visually impaired cats.  They came to the shelter as kittens but lost some of their eye sight due to illness. One would think they would be skittish because they are visually impaired, but that is not case.  They are very affectionate and love to be petted. They can see shadows and react very well to certain sounds, but loud noises make them nervous. These two were adopted young, but brought back because their owner’s living situation changed and they could no longer care for them. They were adopted again and brought back after 5 months because the household was too loud (they had small children) and Louise was scared and stopped using the litterbox.

Louie and Louise need a quiet, loving home to settle into. They would make amazing companions for an older person or couple. Please contact us today to come meet these two!

Sasha

Flat Coated Retriever Miss Sasha is a character! She is exuberant, confident and outgoing…she is GO GO GO! She has a boisterous enthusiasm that may require supervision when she is around small children, only because she may knock them down accidentally. Sasha has been chained up her whole life because she was too much for her owners, so she has a lot of pent-up energy to expend. She was also chasing their ducks, which is a big NO-NO. She loves people, other dogs and is ok with kitties too. She does require plenty of exercise and engagement to help channel her natural “sporting energy”- she would be the perfect dog for an active couple or family. She would also make a great hiking buddy! Sasha is currently a year and a half old and weighs 50lbs.

Gouda

Gouda is one out of a group of 10 kittens from the same home.  She is a little timid, but calms down when being held. She likes to play with her siblings and her toys.  Gouda is litter box trained and loves other cats, kittens, and would probably do well with dogs too.  She is a beautiful Buff color but the pictures do not show how beautiful she really is! Gouda would make a great pet for any kitty lover. She will be ready to go after she gets spayed.

Olive

Olive has a very unique appearance – she looks similar to a German Shepherd, but in a Dachshund body – very cute! She is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 25lbs. She came from a home that couldn’t afford to take care of her and she was covered in ticks.  Despite all of that, Olive is very friendly and all she wants to do is please you and get lots of love.  She has been primarily outside but has not pottied in her room here, so she might be housetrained.  She does well with other dogs, cats, and kids too.  She would make a great family pet!

Chicken

Male KittenChicken is super cute and spunky.  The name really doesn’t suit him because he is very feisty and playful and very sure of himself.  Chicken was found as a stray and received very good care until we could take him.  He loves to be held but also loves to play with toys.  He has a beautiful Tabby pattern with a lot of white too.  Chicken is litter box trained and will be neutered soon and ready to go to a loving home.

Opie

Blue Eyed KelpieOpie came to us, with his brother Oden.  They were adopted as puppies and just returned for killing 2 chickens and chasing their cat. Opie does really well with other dogs and kids too.  He is house trained and kennel trained and does well on a leash.  He has a very loving calm nature and would make a great family pet in a home without chickens.  He has the most beautiful blue eyes you have ever seen and only weighs 36lbs (and shouldn’t get much bigger). Opie is a little on the timid side and tends to follow his brothers lead. We are not sure how they would do seperated, but they do not have to be adopted together.
