Atticus came to us with both his parents from a family who developed health problems and couldn’t care for them. He is very socialized, friendly, playful, and loves his toys. He is litter box trained. He’s full of spunk and energy but also likes to be held. Atticus will make a great family addition. He has the cutest orange spot on his nose too. Duckie showed up as a stray puppy and was never claimed. We don’t know anything about her history, but we do know she is super sweet, affectionate, loves to cuddle in your lap and she would make a great family pet. She is good with other dogs, cats, and kids too. She will need training since she is a baby, but she is a smart little cookie! She is already learning about house training and walks really well on a leash. Little Duckie is an energetic, fun puppy that will light up your world. She is about 20 lbs now but will probably be around 40-50 full grown. She is about 4 months old and is spayed – ready for adoption!
Bailey showed up as a stray, with her brother Brooks, and was never claimed. She is super sweet, calm, leash trained and house trained. The only thing she really doesn’t like is cats. She loves walks, treats, and would make a great family pet. She has a very loving, gentle nature. She’s full grown at 41 pounds, so is a good size too. Bailey is about a year old.
This handsome dog showed up as a stray and was never claimed. He came to us with his sister, Bailey. Brooks is very friendly, walks well on a leash, and is house trained. It appears to us that he has been part of a family because he loves people and is very well behaved. He would be good with other dogs and kids too. He doesn’t care for cats though. He has a very gentle, sweet personality. Brooks is about a year old and weighs 60lbs.
Poor Chappy was found tied up in the back of a local vet’s office in very bad condition. He was very thin, and tested positive for heart worms. He has received treatment and is now gaining weight and looking really good. In spite of whatever he has been through, Chappy is very happy and loves everyone he meets. He is the sweetest dog and just wants to be loved. He still needs to put on weight, but otherwise he is doing very well. Chappy is good with other dogs and has a very gentle nature. Chappy is about 4 years old and currently weighs 74lbs – he should be about 80 pounds once at a healthy weight.
Malfoy was named after the bully in Harry Potter because he is mean to his brother. He is a sweet boy, just likes to bully his brother so we split them up. Malfoy loves attention and affection, but can be shy at first. He was kept in a horse trailer with little socialization, which explains his behavior. Malfoy is also playful and curious. He will do great with other dogs and probably kids too. Mom is a Catahoula Mix but we have no idea what dad is…possibly a Hound. He has one blue eye and a black speckled nose. He is very handsome! Malfoy is about 3 months old now and will be big when full grown, maybe 60-70 lbs.
**Max was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Louie came to us with his sister, Thelma. They are somewhat of a bonded pair, but he would probably do fine if adopted alone. Louie is gentle, loving, and craves human attention. He loves belly rubs and to be in your lap. He has a go-with-the-flow energy and loves everybody. He does well with other dogs and kids. He can be shy at first, but that fades quickly. And did you see his short little legs? Just adorable! Louie is not house trained, but we are working on that too. This sweet little dude will make a great pet for any dog lover. Louie is about 3 years old and full grown at 40 lbs.
Thelma was rescued with her brother, Louie. She is shy at first but learning not to be afraid. If you sit with them, she will be the first one in your lap. She is gentle and loves human affection. She has been around other dogs, but is afraid of some. She is really attached to her brother Louie, but they might be ok if adopted separately. She really just needs a chance to be in a good loving home. She has been only been outdoors but is getting used to inside. Thelma twirls around in a circle when excited…she is just precious. She is not house trained, but learning that too. Thelma is about 3 years old and full grown at 35 lbs.
