**Maverick was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners, and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Maverick came to us after his owners left him, and several other dogs, to fend for themselves. He is friendly, playful, and loves attention. He is very good with other dogs, cats and kids too. He has a beautiful brindle coat and very unusual markings. Maverick is house trained and knows a few simple commands, but he is high energy and demands attention by jumping all over people. He will be enrolling in our Paws in Prison program soon to learn better behavior. He is about 1.5 years old and weighs 55lbs, is neutered and current on vaccinations.

Star

Catahoula Mix**Star was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. She will be crate trained, learn manners, and she will learn lots of tricks as well! Star came to us with several dogs, abandoned by their owners. We don’t have any history, but we do know she is sweet, calm, friendly and has a very loving nature. The people that left this sweet girl had several other dogs and cats, so we know she is good with other dogs and cats, children as well. She is house trained, spayed and current on vaccinations. Star is about 1.5 years old and weighs 45lbs. We think she is a mix between a Catahoula and a Wire Haired Pointing Griffon. She has 1 blue eye and brindle on her legs and head. She is a very unique looking and beautiful dog!

Thelma

Aussie, Blue Heeler

**Thelma was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. She will be crate trained, learn manners, and she will learn lots of tricks as well! Thelma will be looking for a forever home before she graduates in early December, so if you are interested in meeting her, please contact us! Read more about her below…Thelma is friendly and laid-back. She does well with other dogs and has a very gentle, loving nature. She is leash trained and loves to go for walks. She also loves to cuddle and be in our laps. Thelma would make a great pet for any dog lover.  Her adorable nub tail and size suggest she is a Australian Shepherd mixed with Blue Heeler. Thelma is about 9 months old and weighs 40lbs, she shouldn’t get much bigger.

Rover

He will be crate trained, house-trained and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Rover is one happy guy with gorgeous eyes. He is gentle and easy-going. He is also good with other dogs, cats and adults, but small children scare him with their loud noises and fast movements. He is extremely smart, super sweet and needs a family or person who will shower him with attention and love.

Rover is  2 years old and weighs about 95 pounds! He is a gentle giant.
