Jody

Jody is a very loving guy ready to share his heart with his forever family.  He showed up as a stray during the recent snow storm and the family could not keep him.  He is very friendly, loves other dogs and kids.  He hasn’t been around cats.  He is a little on the thin side now but should weigh about 60 pounds once we “fatten him up”.  He has one blue eye and one brown eye.  Jody loves toys and attention. He would make a great family pet!

Jody just entered the Paws in Prison Program in Calico Rock and will receive 8 weeks of obedience training.  He will be house/crate trained, learn various commands and may even learn a few tricks as well! He will graduate mid June.

Bridgett

Bridgett is seriously the sweetest, but a little on the shy side. She takes a few minutes to warm up to people, but doesn’t want to leave once you start petting her.  She is a 1 year old lab/pit mix and a little on the smaller side weighing only 43 pounds. I would describe Bridgett as a lover -she LOVES cuddles and to be right by your side.   She has been outside most of her life and is learning not to potty inside, which is going well. She is very good with other dogs and kids. She CANNOT be trusted with cats or other small animals, however.

Miss Bridgett just entered the Paws in Prison Program in Calico Rock and will receive 8 weeks of obedience training.  She will be house/crate trained, learn various commands and may even learn a few tricks as well! She will graduate mid June.

Bear

Chow chowChow ChowBear is a 5 year old Chow Mix who has a gorgeous coat of thick, soft fur. He is not your typical chow, however.  He is a happy fella that is good with other dogs, as long as they are not bigger than him. He also does well with kids, but is not a fan a cats. Bear can often be found in the yard swinging rope toys around or playing with tennis balls. He tested positive for heartworms upon arrival to the shelter and has undergone treatment successfully. He will have to be on heartworm preventative the rest of his life which can be administered as a monthly pill or a shot that is good for 6 months-pretty easy!

Bear just finished the Paws in Prison Program in Calico Rock where he received 8 weeks of obedience training.  He was house/crate trained and learned basic commands.
