Arlo was an owner surrender – they developed health problems and could no longer care for him. He has been both indoors and outdoors and is litterbox trained. Arlo is very socialized and friendly. He’s good with other cats and is very playful. He would make a great family pet. Arlo has a gorgeous swirl pattern on his fur and is just so handsome. You have to see for yourself! This handsome dog showed up as a stray and was never claimed. Brooks is very friendly, walks well on a leash, and is house trained. It appears to us that he has been part of a family because he loves people and is very well behaved. He can be very shy at first but don’t let that fool you. He would be good with other dogs and kids too. He doesn’t care for cats though. He has a very gentle, sweet personality. Brooks is about a year old and weighs 60lbs.
Poor Chappy was found tied up in the back of a local vet’s office in very bad condition. He was very thin and tested positive for every worm imaginable. He received treatment and is doing great now. In spite of whatever he has been through, Chappy is very happy and loves everyone he meets. He is the sweetest dog and just wants to be loved. He is good with other dogs and has a very gentle nature. He also has a lot of energy now and doesn’t have any idea just how big he is…he is like a clumsy puppy! He is a big lovable goofball and he will light up your life with all of the joy he has flowing from within him. Chappy is about 4 years old and currently weighs 84lbs – he shouldn’t gain too much more.
**Malfoy was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He was at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He is now crate trained, housetrained, has manners and knows a few tricks as well!
Sheamus is a gentleman! He is calm, gentle and gives hugs. He has a lot of love to give and would like to get some in return. He enjoys cheek scratches and any other form of affection you have to offer. Do you have room in your heart and home to give this sweet boy the love he deserves? Guy is a brown tabby which is very unique as we usually just see gray & blk tabbies! Guy was very well taken care of but the man just had too many cats and had to surrender some to us. Guy lived outdoors but is adjusting to the sounds and sights in the shelter and doing well. He does this cute thing where he ducks down behind things, thinking we can’t see him and he slowly raises his head then ducks back down…he is very playful. He also loves affection. Guy is neutered, litter box trained and very sweet. He will make a wonderful pet for any cat lover. He is about a year old.
Grace came to us from another rescue with her sister, Mocha. The rescue took in more dogs than they could care for and gave them very little attention or care. She is a little scared of other dogs and people too. Although still a little shy, she is very sweet and playful. She is partially house trained. She is about 1.5 years old and full grown at 44 lbs. Grace would like a kind, considerate home with a yard and lots of love to give. Can you provide that for her?
Mocha came to us from another rescue with her sister, Grace. The rescue took in more dogs than they could care for and gave them very little attention or care. Mocha was very scared when she got here but is really coming out of her shell now. She loves the attention we are able to provide and all of the treats. She gets excited when we go into her room and runs up to us now. Although still a little shy with strangers, she is very sweet and playful. She does very well with other dogs and would be good with kids too (older/calmer kids). She is partially house trained . She is highly energetic and stays on the slender side because of this. She is about 1.5 years old and weighs 40lbs. Mocha would like a kind, considerate home with a yard and lots of love to give.
Romeo came to us with his two brothers, Guy and Buddy. They all 3 could be triplets they look so much alike, except, Romeo is the biggest. He is a very light gray tabby. They were all surrendered to us because the person had too many cats. Their mother showed up as a stray and had kittens. He was only outside before coming to our shelter, but is litter box trained. He is friendly but a little shy. He enjoys cheek scratches and treats.
Twiggy is a really sweet, lovable cat. She came to us from a family with too many cats and was only outside before we got her, but has adapted very well to being inside the shelter. She tends to keep to herself but when you start petting her, she melts in your hands and comes out to play. She is very gentle and calm. Twiggy loves the little cat house to sleep in and to get cheek scratches. She is litter box trained, spayed and just under a year old. She also has beautiful green-ish eyes!
