Stan is gentle and more on the independent side. We say independent because he tends to keep to himself, but still enjoys pets and cuddles. He has been indoor and outdoor and loves to explore outside. Stan is good with other cats but has not been around dogs. He is litter box trained, neutered and current on vaccinations. Stan also has gorgeous green eyes and is a big cat too, weighs close to 15 pounds! Stan will make a great cat for anyone looking to add an easy-going kitty to their lives. He is about 7 years old and ready to settle down.

**Milo was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. Bobby showed up as a stray and was never claimed. We don’t know anything about his parents, but we do know he’s very smart, loving, and already partially house trained. He does well with other dogs, even big ones, cats and kids too. He is playful, energetic and loves attention and already responds well to commands. He would make a great family pet. According to his BIG feet, he’s going to be a big dog or short and stout. He is only 10 weeks old now and already weighs 23lbs! Clyde is a very unusual color – a “muted” gray. He came to us with his sister, Bunny, and they both showed up as strays. The family that took him in took really good care of, they just couldn’t keep because they had too many cats. He is litter box trained, friendly, loves belly rubs, and his toys. He is also playful and affectionate.
Thor came from a bad situation where he and 11 other dogs were not being fed or given any attention. In spite of all that, Thor is friendly and craves affection. He loves back scratches and cuddles! He appears to be a little hard of hearing but he is not deaf. Since being here he has learned how to walk on a leash and sit for treats. He is very smart and eager to please. He is also a goofball and we all love him…you will too! Thor is about 3 years old, weighs 55lbs and is house-trained.
Finch came to us with his brother, Ford. They were surrendered from a family that had too many dogs they could not take care of. He is a little on the shy side, but warms up quickly with treats and gentle pets. His nick-name is “Mouth” because he gets his mouth searching all over us, looking for treats. Finch will not get much bigger than he is now (25 lbs) because he is already 9 months old. He has only been outdoors, but loves laying inside the shelter on his bed, chewing on toys. Finch is partially house trained and eager to please, so training shouldn’t be difficult. He would be good with other dogs and older, considerate kids (his searching for treats could overwhelm a small child).
Ford arrived with so much fear that we couldn’t touch him. He was surrendered from a home that had too many animals and just didn’t receive any socialization. We paired him with another puppy that loves people and he learned from her that people are good and pets are awesome! He is still a little scared but lets us pet him and he improves a little more each day. Ford has only been outdoors but is adapting well to an inside room and getting used to a bed. He is about 10 months old and almost full grown at 35lbs. He really needs a chance in a patient home and we feel he will really come out of his shell and blossom. Ivy is a VERY tall and slender kitty. He has long legs and a long tail to match! He is super friendly and is a talker. He will tell you all about his day when you get home from work! He is such a sweet guy and enjoys being the only kitty in the home. He would do best as an indoor/outdoor kitty where he can play and explore to his hearts desire. He is VERY good at entertaining himself with toys. As I type this, he is under my desk tossing around his taco toy, letting me get my work done. Ivy would not be good with kids because he prefers a calm, gentle touch and environment. Please come meet him and see what a great kitty he is…you will love him!
Samson is a super friendly kitten. He likes to play with his brothers and give them kisses. He enjoys affection as well and likes to be held. He is about 5 months old, litterbox trained, neutered and fully vaccinated. This sweetheart will brighten up your days with his cuteness.
