Pepper was adopted from us 4 years ago. His owner suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. Pepper and the other dog, that he adopted from us named Snapple, were returned to the shelter. These two are the definition of a bonded pair. They will need to be adopted together. They are both so sweet and well behaved. They walk well on leashes and don’t bark at the other dogs. They pretty much keep to themselves and love to lay in the sun. They also love human cuddles and pets. We do not think they have ever been inside but barely ever have accidents in their kennel – could be considered house-trained (as long as you let out to potty as needed). These two sweethearts will fill your life with love. Please consider taking them both home today! They are both 5 years old and about 50 lbs.

UPDATE: Tucker just entered the Paws in Prison Program in Calico Rock. He will be trained for 8 weeks. He will receive obedience training, house trained, crate trained and learn a lot of tricks too. He will graduate the end of November. Call to schedule a visit now.
Ozzy is a bit shy but a real sweet kitty. He has a small house in the cat cottage where spends most of his time…he loves people but is not sure about the other cats. He does not fight, just keeps to himself. Ozzy was an indoor/outdoor kitty and is super affectionate. We were told he does ok with small dogs. He is litterbox trained, neutered and current on vaccines. He is about 6 years old.
Zeppelin is such a handsome young man and he has a charming personality to match. He is affectionate and gentle but has been known to run from people when they first approach…he always comes back for pets once he realizes you aren’t a threat though. Zeppelin has only ever been outdoors and mostly stays on our catio, but ventures inside when he is hungry or wants a comfy place to rest. He would do best as an indoor/outdoor kitty. He is about a year old, is neutered and current on shots. He is also litterbox trained.
Little Joey is such an easy-going, calm and gentle soul. He has only been outdoors but is doing pretty well in the shelter setting and really enjoys being out on our catio. Joey gets along with other felines as well as dogs and would probably do well with kids. He loves to be held and may even make a good lap cat.
Jazzy wandered into a store in downtown Mountain View asking for help. He had fleas really bad and had developed flea dermatitis, which has healed now. He was also very skinny. We think he is part Maine Coon due to his size and face shape – he is a BIG BOY! He is also gorgeous with his green eyes and white fur. Jazzy will require an indoor home due to the fact that he is de-clawed. He is a little stand offish at first in new environments but warms up pretty quick. He lets you know if you are petting him and he doesn’t like it or doesn’t want to be petted. He has a big CAT-titude and is such a character! We will test him with other cats once he is comfortable here. We were told he does not like dogs. He is neutered, current on vaccines and litterbox trained. We think he is about 7 years old and weighs 15 lbs.
**Hal was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, house-trained, learn manners and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Dexter is one of 5 kittens we rescued after the mama cat died. They haven’t received much care before now, so they are a little hissy, but they are thriving and doing well. He just wants to be loved, but is still figuring out how to accept human affection. He is really coming around and has stopped hissing and allows pets. Dexter does well with other cats and would probably adapt to dogs as well. He is litter box trained and neutered.

It is so cute when he hisses at you then melts into your hand for pets. He just wants to be loved, but is still figuring out how to accept human affection. He is not aggressive in any way, just tries to act tough. He does well with other cats and would probably adapt to dogs as well. He is litter box trained and will be neutered upon adoption. Dario and his brother Dexter are twins.
