Gunner

Gunner is one of a kind.  He looks a little intimidating, but is a good boy! He was an owner surrender – he has too much energy for their family. We really don’t know his breed and they didn’t have info on parents- might have some Boxer or Bully in him. Gunner is house trained, good with cats and other dogs.  He has been both inside and outside, is housetrained and knows basic commands.  He loves human attention and is very playful- he loves to play fetch. He also loves a good scratch on his hind quarters. Gunner needs a home with a family that has time to play with him and take him on adventures.  The family that surrendered him did say they didn’t have enough time to spend with him. He walks well on a leash and doesn’t pull at all.  Gunner is neutered, fully vaccinated and just needs a loving home! He is currently a year old and weighs 60lbs.

Luke

Shepherd Mix PuppyLuke came to us with his sister, London.  They were surrendered because their owner had too many dogs.  Luke’s mother was a Hairy Mouth Heeler and Dad a lab/pit mix.  He is a very active playful dog and needs a place to run and play.  He does not like cats, but does ok with some other dogs and is good kids.  He has been outside most of his life and will need some work on house training but seems very smart and receptive to learning. Luke is eager to please and just wants a person to love on him.  Luke will make a great companion dog for someone or a family. He is under a year old and weighs 45lbs, but still has some growing to do.

Critter

Critter is a fun, sweet and energetic boy with the most gorgeous brown eyes. He was picked up as a stray and brought to us for chasing pigs and killing chickens- farm life is just not for him! He likes cats and other dogs but is really strong, so young kids would not be a good fit. Critter is very active and craves human attention.  He has such good energy and we joke that he tap dances because his little paws are constantly going up and down with excitement. He has mostly been outside but doesn’t potty in his kennel here, so he should be house-trained or will be easily trained (he is very smart and trainable, if given a chance).  He tested positive for Heart Worms and is undergoing treatment, which will be complete late March. He will have to be on HW preventative the rest of his life. Critter does well on a leash, is already neutered and current on shots. He is currently 3-4 years old and weighs 50lbs.

Rocco

Rocco is sweet, calm and affectionate. He enjoys exploring and playing with toys, but pretty laid back for a kitten.  He is also a big boy, for only being 7 months old, so he will be a big adult. Rocco was dumped in a park with his 5 brothers and was in a home until we could take him at the shelter. He has never been outside, so he is litter box trained. He could be an indoor/outdoor cat, after he gets comfortable with his new home. Rocco is also neutered and current on shots.

Knox

Pyrenees mixKnox is a wonderful dog.  He was abandoned with his 3 siblings and were brought to the shelter.  Their mother was a Great Pyrenees and we have no idea what the Dad was.  Knox is going to be a big dog. He is currently 5-6 months and already weighs 52lbs.  Knox has wavy white hair with brindle patches.  He has only been outside, but outside dogs are usually easy to housetrain (he does not potty in his inside room here at the shelter). He loves attention and really is a people pleaser.  He has a very gentle, calm nature.  He would be good with other dogs and kids too.
