Margaret was abandoned by her owners and had no where to go. She was very afraid and timid at first but is adapting very well to care and attention from staff. She tends to hide but if you go to her and pet her, she just melts into your hands. She does well with other cats but has not been around dogs or kids that we know of. Margaret has been both inside and outside and is litter box trained. I think she will so well in a calm, quiet home with a nice lap to curl up on. She is about 6 years old and on the smaller side.

This beautiful dog came to us as a stray and was never claimed. Khaleesi (ka-lee-cee) is very energetic but does respond to simple commands. She craves human attention and only wants to please. We have no idea what her previous life was but she is kind of a mess! She will wine (like a Husky) and jump all over you, but once you pet her and give her affection, she calms down. She also is very vocal trying to get your attention. We think the poor girl may have been kept in a kennel with no socialization, so she is desperate for attention and affection. Khaleesi needs a home that will offer constant attention. She would make a great dog for someone looking for a constant companion they can take with them everywhere. She is not house trained but we offer FREE obedience training via Dog Academy. She is almost 2 years old and weighs 60lbs.
This green eyed beauty was abandoned by her owner and had no where to go. She is a little timid at first but responds well to affection. She has been both indoors and outdoors and is litterbox trained. She has really adapted fast to being inside at our shelter and is getting along well with the other cats but is not a fan of dogs though. Sophie will make a great kitty for someone! She is about 2 years, spayed and fully vaccinated.
Lilly is one super sweet, lovable, kitten. She has only been indoors and is very good with other cats and dogs. She loves toys and to be held. Lilly is on the smaller side for a 7 months old kitten and is just so precious! And yes, her eyes really are THAT golden. You have to meet her to see just how sweet and special she is. She would do good with kids too and will make a great family pet. Lilly is litter box trained, spayed and current on shots.
Sasha is mostly BLIND. She has been passed around to several families who really did not want her and didn’t take good care of her. She’s about 5 years old and we really don’t know what happened to her vision but it was probably congenital. She is used to being outside and wanders around without fear even though she often bumps right into things. We have learned she loves to be inside, cuddled up with humans. Sasha LOVES human contact and craves any attention. She tends to jump up on us and gives hugs and kisses! Sasha is very unhappy at the shelter, however, not eating or sleeping well due to the loud environment. She is underweight and we are really trying to put some weight on her. She is a super sweet dog and very smart. She needs to be in a home. Can you either foster or adopt this precious soul? No chickens, cats or small dogs for this lady. Her predator instincts kick in and they don’t have a chance!
Catarina, aka Cat, was VERY shy and hid when she first got here. We treated her for an ear infection and got rid of her ear mites and now she is much more social. She now accepts pets but you have to go to her, she will not come to you. She has that “Do not touch me” look, but that is just a front. She is still very timid but loves getting her cheeks scratched and will roll over and allow belly rubs. That means there is hope! Will you give Catarina a chance at the good life in your home?
Trixie came to us from a home with too many cats. She is very friendly, socialized, and loves attention. She is more on the laid back side and is good with other cats, dogs, and kids. She would make a great family pet. She has been both inside and outside and is litter box trained. Trixie loves a warm blanket in the sun in our window of the cat cottage. Can she snuggle up in the sun with you?
Peaches is a super sweet, friendly and laid back kitty. She does well with other cats, dogs, and kids too. She was surrendered from a family with too many cats. She has been both indoors and outdoors and is litter box trained. Peaches is also spayed and current on vaccinations.
Gingie is the sweetest little ball of soft fur you will ever touch. She is about 7 years old, very mellow and laid back but also playful. She has been known to toss toys in the air and run around with them in her mouth…she is very good at entertaining herself! Gingie also loves to get belly rubs and to be in your lap. She is dog friendly and does ok with other cats, but it takes awhile for her get used to them. She is litter box trained, spayed and fully vetted. She has been both indoors and outdoors but prefers a comfy, warm place inside to cuddle up. Can Gingie be your new cuddle buddy?
Thor came from a bad situation where he and 11 other dogs were not being fed or given any attention. In spite of all that, Thor is friendly and craves affection. He loves back scratches and cuddles! He appears to be a little hard of hearing but he is not deaf. Thor has never been on a leash before so we are working on leash training. He is very smart and eager to please, so any training should go smoothly. He is about 3 years old, weighs 55lbs and is house-trained.
