Digit…just how many EXTRA DIGITS does she have?! This sweetheart has so many extra toes, we lost count! This old lady (12 years old) has a grumpy face, but she is far from grumpy. She is friendly, both with people and other felines. We thought she would have a hard time coming to the shelter with her age, but she walks around like she owns the place! She will settle in just fine to any home. Can she come spend her Golden Years with you?

Bobbi is a rare sight…a diluted calico with a bob tail…or no tail really! She also has beautiful green eyes. Her owner had to go into a nursing home, so she was brought here. Bobbi is very shy and tends to run and hide from us, but she is getting used to being here and should settle down soon, but for now she prefers to stay in the rafters of the catio. Bobbi is spayed, litterbox trained and does well with other kitties. She has only been inside but might like to adventure outside at some point. She will need a patient home that will give her the time and space to hide until she is comfortable enough to come out and say hello.
Miss Gracie was brought back to the shelter after 5 years in her home and we are so glad for this return. Gracie had developed a skin condition that needed treatment, but her owners did not want to treat it and it got really bad over time. The skin on her chest, legs and ears is raw, scabby and oozing. This infection is not contagious and is treatable. It is a skin allergy that turned into a fungal function due to lack of treatment. She is now getting the treatment she needs and deserves. Miss Gracie is the friendliest dog, despite the fact that humans had neglected her. She gets so excited and gets that tail wagging when we walk into her room. She does the same thing when she sees other dogs. Gracie is just the sweetest thing in the world and she deserves a loving home that will provide her with the care she needs. She will require a monthly allergy injection once her skin is back to normal. Gracie is 5 years old and weighs 70 lbs.
Tex is a character! He is a Husky but with wire hair, so we think he has some Airedale Terrier in him. He really is an amazing dog, very smart and sweet. He is housetrained and super friendly with people and other animals. We learned he is an escape artist – he broke out of his pen and jumped over a 6 foot fence! We realized he just needed time to settle in and he also wanted to be near people. He is a very socialized dog and loves to be with people. He would do great in an active home with a big family or with people who will take him everywhere with them. He would be a great adventure buddy. Tex is learning not to jump up on people. Other than that, he is a great dog. He is about 1.5 years old and weighs 60 lbs, could gain about 5-10 more lbs.
Tippy is a VERY large (12 pounds), VERY sweet 3 year old kitty. She has a white tip on her tail, hence the name Tippy. She also has beautiful green eyes. Her owner had to go into a nursing home, so she was brought here. This lady is super friendly and affectionate. She likes to be picked up, held and petted. She enjoys looking out the window and is easy-going. Tippy is spayed, litterbox trained and does well with other kitties. She has only been inside but might like to adventure outside at some point. She is make a great cat for any kitty loving home!
Max is one BIG cuddle bug (he is a 12 pounder!). He can’t stand not being petted and will roll on his back and present his belly to get affection. He LOVES belly rubs! His owner had to go into a nursing home and could not keep him. He does very well with other cats and loves everyone he meets. He is litter box trained and has only been indoors but might adapt to being outdoors some as well. Max would make a great family pet or lap pet for an older person. Max is about 4 years old, neutered and will fill your life with light.
Gage is one of 3 kittens born at the shelter on July 19th. He is very socialized and full of personality. He loves toys, attention, and playing with his siblings. He would do well with other cats and would probably get used to dogs as well. He is litter box trained. Gage has stripes and spots – a very unique looking kitty!
**Maverick was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners, and he will learn lots of tricks as well! This beautiful kitty Luna showed up as a stray. She was already fixed and appears to have been well cared for, but we have not had anyone looking for her. She is a sweetheart and loves to cuddle and get pets. She is gentle, quiet and easy-going, once she settles in. She will make a wonderful kitty for any home looking to spoil a deserving cat. Luna is about 3 years old and is on the larger side, weighing 11 lbs.
