Leo is a little spitfire. He came to us with his 4 siblings, all of which are female. Leo is playful, a little timid, but very socialized. He loves playing with the other kittens and being held. He has a cloudy eye from being sick earlier in life, but it doesn’t seem to bother him. Leo is litter box trained and will be neutered soon. You can put him on hold today!

Petunia is a super sweet kitten. She came to us from a family with too many cats. She is very friendly and socialized. She’s here with 4 of her siblings, 3 of which are black. Beau is the best dog you could ever meet. He has been in a home for the last 5 years, but his owner had to go into a nursing home and could not take him. He is also a Paws in Prison Graduate from 5 years ago, so he is very well behaved. He is house trained, leash trained and loves everyone he meet. He is dog friendly and would make a great family dog. He is 7 years old and little over weight – he is at 90 but should weigh about 80 pounds. Other than that, he is healthy and has had routine vet visits. Beau really needs, and deserves, a home to spend his final years in. Can you provide that for him?
Lulu is the sweetest kitten ever. She is one of a litter of 5. She came to us very socialized and is doing well in our shelter. She is very unique looking with her black and gray swirl pattern. Her facial features give her the look of a fox…she really is beautiful. Lulu is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. She is litter box trained and will be spayed soon. She is very active and playful and loves playing with the other kittens. She will make a great addition to any home looking for the joys of a kitten.
Poppy came to us with her 4 siblings, 3 of which are black. They are very friendly and love human snuggles. Poppy is more sure of herself than the others despite the fact that she is the smallest. She loves to untie your shoe laces. She really is a hoot! Poppy is litter box trained and loves to play with the other kittens and her toys. She would make a great family pet.
Nash is an extremely smart, sweet dog. Unfortunately, he was found abandoned – left chained up without food, water, or a shelter. He was brought to us by the local sheriff. We don’t know anything about his story but he loves everybody at the shelter and responds well to our attention and care. Nash just wants to be near people and is very playful. He appears to be a full-blooded Aussie and has a very unique, loving personality. He would make a wonderful pet for an active person or family. This breed of dog needs to stay busy and active, not just be left by himself all day long. Nash is about a year old and full grown at 53 lbs.
Dean came to us as an owner surrender. He was chasing the neighbor’s livestock and they were threatening to shoot him. They had no where to contain him so they brought him to the shelter. He is house trained and knows simple commands. He is very good with other dogs, but has not been around cats. He has a sweet and gentle disposition and just wants to be near people. He is used to being part of a family and is missing that close interaction with humans. He will make a great family pet!
Arlo was an owner surrender – they developed health problems and could no longer care for him. He has been both indoors and outdoors and is litterbox trained. Arlo is very socialized and friendly. He’s good with other cats and is very playful. He would make a great family pet. Arlo has a gorgeous swirl pattern on his fur and is just so handsome. You have to see for yourself! Arlo is about 3 years old.
**Duckie was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. She will be crate trained, learn manners and he will learn lots of tricks as well!
