Caesar has really blossomed since coming to the shelter in Nov 2024. He now loves affection and is curious instead of scared. He is calm and gentle and will be a wonderful pet for any kitty lover. He likes to play and get belly rubs. He is neutered, current on shots and litter box trained. He is just under a year old.

This little love bug is Ham, aka Hamilton or Hammy. He is full grown at 26lbs and is such a sweetheart. He loves other dogs and goes crazy for booty scratches. He is very shy at first but will love you to death if you give him time to warm up to you! He has a very gentle nature and you can tell he just wants to be loved. Ham is house-trained, neutered and up to date on shots.

Nemo is a young and handsome orange spotted tabby. His markings are incredible: striped tail/legs, spotted body, solid white on feet. He is one cool cat! Nemo is also friendly, very socialized and loves human attention. And boy does he love to catch things. You should see him get after a fly- he turns into an acrobat! Nemo has only been indoors, but enjoys being out on our catio so he could be both inside/outside. He does ok with other cats, dogs, and kids too. He is litter box trained, neutered and current on shots. This little man is desperate to find a family…can he join yours?

**Update: Picasso was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, house trained, learn manners, and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Picasso will be looking for a forever home before he graduates the in mid June, so if you are interested in meeting him, please contact us!
Picasso is playful, sweet, and full of personality. He is very affectionate but can be a little timid at first. He has only been outside, but is loving being inside at our shelter. Picasso is good with other dogs and bigger kids (he doesn’t know his size. He is just over a year old and weighs 80lbs! He is a big boy … a very strong boy as well. He was sent to the prison for training to teach him how to act, being that he is an 80 pound strong man.

Rover is one happy guy with gorgeous eyes. He is good with other dogs, cats and adults, but children scare him with their loud noises and fast movements. He is mostly house-trained except for the occasional pee accidents. He was never on a leash before we got him, but he walks great with a harness now. He is extremely smart, super sweet and needs a family or person who will shower him with attention and love. Rover is just over a year old and weighs about 80 pounds.

Dill is a calm and gentle kitty. He was very shy when he got here but is now curious about humans and likes to be held and petted. He isn’t very active and keeps to himself, but likes to walk around and watch what we are doing when we are cleaning. He has a swirl pattern on his fur that everyone comments on – he is really cool looking kitty! Dill is litterbox trained, neutered and current on shots.

Squirrel is a curious guy that loves treats and to play with toys. He gets along with other kitties after the stress of the initial introduction settles down. Buck has stolen all of our hearts. He always appears to be smiling and literally gives hugs. He is a 60 pound ball of joy! Buck just wants to be where the action is and loves people. He does well with most other dogs, but doesn’t like being in a confined space with them. Buck is house and leash trained and LOVES going for walks. He is also very good at entertaining himself with a good bone and he loves to lay on his bed with his blankets. We believe Buck will make a great dog for anyone who will smother him with the love and attention he so desperately desires.

Mikey came to us with his brother, Monroe. They are an owner surrender and we were told the parents were Mountain Dog and Heeler. Mikey has been outside in a pen all of his life and not given much attention, so he is a little shy. He doesn’t potty in his pen, so would be easy to housetrain. Mikey loves to go for walks and chew on bones. He is a pretty neat guy once you get to know him.
