Petey is such a good boy! He loves other dogs and going for walks. If you tell him you’re going to take his picture he will pose for you (very cute!). He knows basic commands and is very eager to please. Petey can be timid around some people, but for the most part he is friendly. He would do best in a home with another dog or with a person/family that would take him everywhere with them – he tends to get anxious when left alone and is known to bark. Petey has great energy and is a fun dog that would make a great addition to any dog loving home. He is 3 years old and 55lbs.

Bean is blind in one eye as a result of the feline calicivirus, from when she was a kitten. It really doesn’t slow her down any, she gets around just fine. She had only been inside and wasn’t socialized. Bean was VERY shy and liked to hide when she first got here, but now she greets us and asks for pets. She loves to go out on the catio and bird watch as well. Bean has come a long way since we got her and she deserves a gold star for her bravery. She will make a wonderful companion for any kitty lover. She is about 2 years old, is litter box trained, spayed and fully vetted.
Buddy is super sweet and loves attention, but he is shy at first. Don’t let that prevent you from giving him a chance though because this dog is amazing! He had only been outdoors before we got him and we keep him in an outside kennel here because he LOVES to play in his water. He has been inside a few times and did just fine using the doggie door. Buddy is good with other dogs, cats, and kids too. He is full of energy and very smart. We only have to show him how to something once and he understands (like walking with a harness and leash). He likes cuddles, to chew on stuffies and he loves to be right by your side. He will make a great companion for any dog lover that is looking for a constant companion. Buddy did test positive for Heartworms when we got him and he has successfully finished his treatment. He will need to be on heartworm preventative the rest of his life (which is an easy thing to do).

This little love bug is Ham, aka Hamilton or Hammy. He is 3 years old, full grown at 26lbs and is such a sweetheart. He loves other dogs and goes crazy for booty scratches. He is very shy at first but will love you to death if you give him time to warm up to you AND if you don’t mind getting nipped at a time or two. This is his defense mechanism due to not being treated very well before he came here. We were all nipped at once or twice the first month he was here, and he does it randomly when he is scared, but for the most part he has stopped. Ham has a very gentle nature and you can tell he just wants to be loved. It will just take a little time for him to get used to you and a new environment. Ham is house-trained, neutered and up to date on shots.
Nala is a laid back and lazy lady! She loves to cuddle up on a blanket or bed and snooze the day away. She won’t come to you but if you go to her and offer pets, she enjoys it. Nala does well with other cats and dogs too. She has been both indoors and outdoors, is litter box trained and spayed. Nala is ready to find her forever home, will it be yours?

Hey everyone, London here! I just turned One and I am full grown at 45lbs. They tell me I am a smart cookie because I have learned so much since I got here back in February (2o24). When I arrived, I didn’t know how to walk on a leash and I pottied in my room (which I guess is a big NO NO). Now I love going for walks in my harness and catching bugs and running through the tall grass. I only use the bathroom in my outside area or the yard and I can use the doggie door as well! I really like to play with toys and with humans, but other dogs make me nervous and I can’t stand cats! I am getting used to other dogs though and might have a roommate soon, but I hope I find a forever home before then cause I really prefer to be by myself.
This poor guy has been overlooked for 2 years! Yes, that is right, Buck has been here at the shelter since March of 2023. We are not sure why though…Buck has stolen all of our hearts. He has a fun energy and just loves to be included in things. He is a 60 pound ball of joy! Buck just wants to be where the action is and loves people. He does well with most other dogs, but prefers to be the only dog in the home so he can get all of the attention. Buck is house and leash trained and LOVES going for walks. He is also very good at entertaining himself with a good bone and he enjoys to lay on his bed with his blankets. Buck will make a great dog for anyone who will smother him with love and take him on adventures.
Mikey came to us with his brother, Monroe. They are an owner surrender and we were told the parents were Mountain Dog and Heeler. Mikey has been outside in a pen all of his life and not given much attention, so he is a little shy. He doesn’t potty in his pen, so would be easy to housetrain. Mikey loves to go for walks and chew on bones. He is a pretty neat guy once you get to know him.
