This little love bug is Ham, aka Hamilton or Hammy. He is full grown at 26lbs and is such a sweetheart. He loves other dogs and goes crazy for booty scratches. He is very shy at first but will love you to death if you give him time to warm up to you! He has a very gentle nature and you can tell he just wants to be loved. Ham is house-trained, neutered and up to date on shots.

Nemo is a young and handsome orange spotted tabby. His markings are incredible: striped tail/legs, spotted body, solid white on feet. He is one cool cat! Nemo is also friendly, very socialized and loves human attention. And boy does he love to catch things. You should see him get after a fly- he turns into an acrobat! Nemo has only been indoors, but enjoys being out on our catio so he could be both inside/outside. He does ok with other cats, dogs, and kids too. He is litter box trained, neutered and current on shots. This little man is desperate to find a family…can he join yours?
Nala is a laid back and lazy lady! She loves to cuddle up on a blanket or bed and snooze the day away. She won’t come to you but if you go to her and offer pets, she enjoys it. Nala does well with other cats and dogs too. She has been both indoors and outdoors, is litter box trained and spayed. Nala is ready to find her forever home, will it be yours?
**Update: Picasso was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, house trained, learn manners, and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Picasso will be looking for a forever home before he graduates the in mid June, so if you are interested in meeting him, please contact us!
Rover is one happy guy with gorgeous eyes. He is good with other dogs, cats and adults, but children scare him with their loud noises and fast movements. He is mostly house-trained except for the occasional pee accidents. He was never on a leash before we got him, but he walks great with a harness now. He is extremely smart, super sweet and needs a family or person who will shower him with attention and love. Rover is just over a year old and weighs about 80 pounds.
Dill is a calm and gentle kitty. He was very shy when he got here but is now curious about humans and likes to be held and petted. He isn’t very active and keeps to himself, but likes to walk around and watch what we are doing when we are cleaning. He has a swirl pattern on his fur that everyone comments on – he is really cool looking kitty! Dill is litterbox trained, neutered and current on shots.
Squirrel is a curious guy that loves treats and to play with toys. He gets along with other kitties after the stress of the initial introduction settles down. Hey everyone, London here! I just turned One and I am full grown at 45lbs. They tell me I am a smart cookie because I have learned so much since I got here back in February (2o24). When I arrived, I didn’t know how to walk on a leash and I pottied in my room (which I guess is a big NO NO). Now I love going for walks in my harness and catching bugs and running through the tall grass. I only use the bathroom in my outside area or the yard and I can use the doggie door as well! I really like to play with toys and with humans, but other dogs make me nervous and I can’t stand cats! I am getting used to other dogs though and might have a roommate soon, but I hope I find a forever home before then cause I really prefer to be by myself.
Kenna is almost 4 years old and weighs 62lbs. She is very slender and sleek with a blue speckle in one of her eyes- just a beautiful dog. Kenna loves to cuddle and is pretty calm and gentle. She loves to play with other dogs and she plays hard! She gets along with most male dogs but is not a fan of other female canines. Kenna does well with kids, is house trained and knows basic commands. It takes her a few minutes to get used to strangers, but once she knows she is safe she does just fine with anyone. This poor girl has been at the shelter most of her life – she was adopted as a puppy and brought back, been here since July 2023. Please consider opening your hearts and giving her a chance to enjoy a normal life, outside of the shelter and in a loving home!
Buck has stolen all of our hearts. He always appears to be smiling and literally gives hugs. He is a 60 pound ball of joy! Buck just wants to be where the action is and loves people. He does well with most other dogs, but doesn’t like being in a confined space with them. Buck is house and leash trained and LOVES going for walks. He is also very good at entertaining himself with a good bone and he loves to lay on his bed with his blankets. We believe Buck will make a great dog for anyone who will smother him with the love and attention he so desperately desires.
