Miss Ginger has a grumpy face, but she is sweet as can be! Her and her brother George just love to lay around together on our soft blankets. They are adjusting well to being inside and do very well with other kitties. They are both litter box trained and fixed. Ginger is pretty calm and laid back and she has the softest fur! She is also on the petite side and will most likely stay fairly small. This sweetheart won’t be here long, so if you’re interested in meeting her, put your application in today! Ford arrived with so much fear that we couldn’t touch him. He was surrendered from a home that had too many animals and just didn’t receive any socialization. We paired him with another puppy that loves people and he learned from her that people are good and pets are awesome! He is still a little scared but lets us pet him and he improves a little more each day. Ford has only been outdoors but is adapting well to an inside room and getting used to a bed. He is about 8 months old and almost full grown at 35lbs. He really needs a chance in a patient home and we feel he will really come out of his shell and blossom. Will you give Ford and his big ears a chance?
Darla is so beautiful! She has a very regal look about her. She is calm, quiet, and affectionate. She does good with dogs and most other cats and probably wouldn’t mind kids either. She enjoys being both inside and outside. Darla is litter box trained, spayed and current on shots. This sweet little lady needs a loving family or person to take her in!
This big eared cutie is Everly. She was surrendered to us by a family that couldn’t care for her and her 3 siblings. She is very friendly and will jump all over you, desperate for affection. She has been outdoors her entire life in a small pen, so she is excited when she gets to be with people. Everly is adapting very well to being inside the shelter and would love being in a warm, comfy home. She will need some work on house training but most outside dogs learn quick, plus we offer free obedience training via Dog Academy. We were told her mother was a shepherd mix but not sure about Dad. She is currently 7 months old and only weighs 20lbs, so she will not be a very big dog, probably 30 pounds full grown. Everly is good with kids and other dogs and will make a wonderful pet for the lucky family that snags her up first! She is spayed and fully vetted.

Bobbi is a rare sight…a diluted calico with a bob tail…or no tail really! She also has beautiful green eyes. Her owner had to go into a nursing home, so she was brought here. Bobbi is very shy and used to run and hide from us, but she is getting used to being here and is settling down. She allows us to approach her and pet her now! Bobbi is spayed, litterbox trained and does well with other kitties. She has only been inside but might like to adventure outside at some point. Bobbi will need a patient home that will give her the time and space to hide until she is comfortable enough to come out and say hello, but that won’t take too long!
**Tex was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Max is one BIG cuddle bug (he is a 12 pounder!). He can’t stand not being petted and will roll on his back and present his belly to get affection. He LOVES belly rubs! His owner had to go into a nursing home and could not keep him. He does very well with other cats and loves everyone he meets. He is litter box trained and has only been indoors but might adapt to being outdoors some as well. Max would make a great family pet or lap pet for an older person. Max is about 4 years old, neutered and will fill your life with light.

Ivy is a VERY tall and slender kitty. He has long legs and a long tail to match! He is super friendly and affectionate and he is a talker. He will tell you all about his day when you get home from work! He is such a sweet guy and enjoys being the only kitty in the home. He would be ok going outdoors once he settles into the home. Ivy is energetic and likes to play and explore. He will be a fun kitty for a family or couple, heck even a single person will love his company!
