Miss Ginger has a grumpy face, but she is sweet as can be! Her and her brother George just love to lay around together on our soft blankets. They are adjusting well to being inside and do very well with other kitties. They are both litter box trained and fixed. Ginger is pretty calm and laid back and she has the softest fur! She is also on the petite side and will most likely stay fairly small. This sweetheart won’t be here long, so if you’re interested in meeting her, put your application in today! Ford arrived with so much fear that we couldn’t touch him. He was surrendered from a home that had too many animals and just didn’t receive any socialization. We paired him with another puppy that loves people and he learned from her that people are good and pets are awesome! He is still a little scared but lets us pet him and he improves a little more each day. Ford has only been outdoors but is adapting well to an inside room and getting used to a bed. He is about 8 months old and almost full grown at 35lbs. He really needs a chance in a patient home and we feel he will really come out of his shell and blossom. **Everly was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. She will be crate trained, learn manners and will learn lots of tricks as well! Bobbi is a rare sight…a diluted calico with a bob tail…or no tail really! She also has beautiful green eyes. Her owner had to go into a nursing home, so she was brought here. Bobbi is very shy and used to run and hide from us, but she is getting used to being here and is settling down. She allows us to approach her and pet her now! Bobbi is spayed, litterbox trained and does well with other kitties. She has only been inside but might like to adventure outside at some point. Bobbi will need a patient home that will give her the time and space to hide until she is comfortable enough to come out and say hello, but that won’t take too long!
Max is one BIG cuddle bug (he is a 12 pounder!). He can’t stand not being petted and will roll on his back and present his belly to get affection. He LOVES belly rubs! His owner had to go into a nursing home and could not keep him. He does very well with other cats and loves everyone he meets. He is litter box trained and has only been indoors but might adapt to being outdoors some as well. Max would make a great family pet or lap pet for an older person. Max is about 4 years old, neutered and will fill your life with light.
Ivy is a VERY tall and slender kitty. He has long legs and a long tail to match! He is super friendly and affectionate and he is a talker. He will tell you all about his day when you get home from work! He is such a sweet guy and enjoys being the only kitty in the home. He would be ok going outdoors once he settles into the home. Ivy is energetic and likes to play and explore. He will be a fun kitty for a family or couple, heck even a single person will love his company!
Sammie is a beautiful 6 year old Tortoiseshell cat. She is super affectionate has been very well cared for and socialized. She is used to being an indoor/outdoor kitty. She has had minimal interaction with other cats and wants to keep it that way, so a home where she would be the only kitty is best. Sammie is in foster care with an elderly couple until we can find her a home. They love her dearly but can’t take care of her much longer. She needs to find a home urgently! Contact the shelter today and we will make arrangements for you to meet Sammie.
Alice showed up at one of our employees homes, starving. She was super friendly so they fed her and noticed she had milk so they followed her and found she had 3 kittens up the street at the maintenance shop for a local motel. The motel said they were dumped. Once room was available they all came to the shelter. Alice was a good mom and is super friendly and sweet. She is not a huge fan of being picked up but loves affection otherwise. AS you can see in the photo, she begs for affection. She is spayed, litterbox trained and current on vaccines. Alice will be a wonderful kitty for any family or kitty person looking for a companion.
This little lady is as sweet as sugar! She is on the calmer side for a kitten and likes to be held and cuddled, but she is a kitten so she does get energetic and play. Dezi is already spayed, litterbox trained and fully vaccinated. You can’t really tell from the photos but she has orange spots mixed in with her stripes. She is also small for her age and will probably be a petite adult kitty.
Samson is a super friendly kitten. He likes to play with his brothers and give them kisses. He enjoys affection as well and likes to be held. He is about 5 months old, litterbox trained, neutered and fully vaccinated. This sweetheart will brighten up your days with his cuteness.
